Anglers have been successful using a variety of baits depending on the time of day. Early mornings have seen good action on topwater lures as bass are actively feeding near the surface. As the day progresses, switching to jigs and worms has proven effective, particularly around submerged structures and weed beds. Crappie are consistently biting around deeper brush piles, with live minnows being the preferred bait.
